Cushnie for Target Collection

Happy hump day everyone! We’re halfway to the weekend! I’m sure that will hit differently for me next week as I will be returning to work from summer break. This summer has been weird, to say the least. Although I did return to work for a few days at the end of May, we haven’t actually been in school since the middle of March and to tell you the truth everything since that last Friday kind seems like a blur. Y’all send prayers and positive vibes my way. I’m not really sure what the next few weeks will bring, but I expect it to be anything but normal. Anyway, enough rambling that is not the purpose of this post.

Originally, I had another post planned and scheduled to go up on Friday. When I saw the items featured in today’s post were on clearance, I decided I needed to get this post up as soon as possible.

Cushine for Target

If you’re a Target lover like myself then you know that they often collaborate with designers to create more affordable collections to offer in their stores. These collections are only available for a limited amount of time, so you have to grab them while they are available.

Today I’m featuring two pieces from one such collection, Cushnie for Target. I was particularly excited about this collaboration because it features a black woman designer, Carly Cushnie. Cushnie founded the label in 2008, with the goal of “serving the modern woman.” The Cushine Collection has been worn by some of our favorite modern women such as Michelle Obama and Beyonce. On their website Target describes the collection as having a “refined sense of minimalism,” and I have to agree. The classic silhouettes and modern color palette are an A+ for me.

I was immediately drawn to the cobalt blue and bright green. There are so many beautiful choices but I narrowed my selections to two pieces. I was told that I would be impressed with the quality of these dresses and that was certainly proven to be true. These dresses are so well made and they fit beautifully.

The Cushnie for Target Collection is still available, but sizes are limited and the pieces are currently marked down for clearance. This means they may not may be available for much longer. Personally, I hope they stick around for a few more weeks. I’d love to grab another piece or two to my collection and the current prices can’t be beat. But if I were you I wouldn’t wait too long. If you see something you like, grab it now!

Tie Front Shirtdress in Blue

This collared shirt dress features a button front and double self . The tie can be worn a variety of different ways. The dress has relaxed fit and features a triangle cut out at the back.

Pleated Dress in Blue/Green

This piece is my absolute favorite from the entire collection. It’s a midi dress with an “art deco” feel. If features a navy bodice with a diagonal cut of cobalt and a pleated panel of green. This dress features a side zip with spaghetti straps that crisscross at the back. This dress is 100% polyester.
