Full Coverage Foundation

Finding the perfect shade, coverage, and longwear-ability in a foundation is like finding your soulmate; Its hard work, but worth it in the end..

The Perfect Mate

The perfect foundation selection requires much dedication, self-reflection, patience and yes …. sometimes lots of money. It can also bring about several months of trials and tribulations. It can then leave behind years of none-Instagram worthy photographed memories. All of this before you can convince yourself to commit to buying “the one” only to cheat with the newest trend, then on to the next so forth and so forth. And yes, I’m still talking about foundation.

Like most, it has been a constant gamble to find the perfect concoction that works with my combination acne prone skin. I struggled to find one that is matte yet dewy, full coverage yet lightweight. Most importantly, I’ve longed for something to keep this oily face of mine under control.

Well if you don’t have the time or money to be seduced by foundation that’s just not the right fit for you, let me let you in on one of my first loves who I never should’ve abandoned. I absolutely love this product. It’s definitely a must purchase foundation.

Til Death Do Us Part

Here are 3 reasons to fall in love with BB. (Other than our shared initials)

  1. Coverage – As a female who has been troubled with acne since I was 13 or so, my number one criteria in foundation selection is covering my acne scars.  I have longed for a lightweight foundation would cover hyper-pigmentation without giving off a “cakey” finish. This product is build-able and  hides the darkest of my scars without creasing. This deserves major points in my opinion.
  2. Colour – Spring, Summer, Fall, and Winter there’s a foundation shade that works for me. Although the shades for medium to dark brown skinned isn’t as inclusive as I would’ve hoped for, I am pleased with the Almond for the summer and Golden Almond for the Fall/Winter. I sometimes mix both shades when I’m doing a full coverage look to add dimension.
  3. Compatibility– I have longed for a lightweight foundation that doesn’t add too much moisture to my already oily face, won’t clog my pores, but also doesn’t irritate the acne that I’m trying to cover. I have seen a dramatic difference in my skin’s texture as a result of this foundation and my facial routine.

I will surely keep this product in my arsenal, as long as I shall wear makeup. 💋
