OOTD: Nude Heels and Chunky Knits

For months now I’ve been on the hunt for the perfect brown girl nude heels. It was nothing short of a Christmas miracle, but a few weeks ago, after trying on countless pairs of shoes and nearly giving up, I found my match! I was browsing the Cyber Monday sales on some of my favorite websites when I came across these beauties. The lesson here, even when things seem impossible, don’t give up!

When I saw these babies, it was love at first sight! They had everything I as looking for. The perfect heel height, at 3.5 inches, the right color and the right material. Personally, I prefer suede to leather or patent because I find that it molds to my foot with time and makes for a more comfortable fit. I obviously won’t be running any marathons in these shoes, but I do find them to be quite comfortable for a heel of this height.

For today’s look, was going for a comfy, cozy, casual vibe. I think I nailed it. Choosing to pair this outfit with heels, instead of booties or flats helped to elevate the look just a bit. Pun intended. I went with some of my old favorites, jeans from Express and a cami from Old Navy as the base of this look. A few newer pieces that have been on repeat this fall helped to finish off the look. I found this chunky, oversized, knit cardigan and triangle scarf on Jane.com.

While I love shopping for bargains on Jane there is one drawback. You have to act quickly as things are only available for a limited amount of time and tend to sell out fast. Currently these pieces are not available, but I’ll still link them below. Chances are you’ve got some similar pieces in your closet, so shop there first!

Believe it or not, a new year is almost upon us! It seems as if 2018 got off to a slow start, but this last quarter has certainly flown by! I’m definitely excited about the new year, and a time for new beginnings. I’m not much for resolutions, but I think setting goals is always in order. What are your goals for 2019?
