Just Another Manic Monday

Mondays typically aren’t my favorite day of the week. It seems I always need a little extra boost to get me going. But this week is different for two reasons. One, because I’m in the final stretch of the Spring Break count down. And two, because I’m sharing with you today a few of my favorite things. Let’s get right into them!

Collage of favorite items

1. Clearly Canadian Sparking Water

The first item I’m sharing with you today is one I cannot get enough of! Chances are if you’ve held a conversation with me in the last five months that lasted more than ten minutes you’ve probably heard me wax poetic about clearly Canadian Sparkling Water. This product is one that I fell in love with decades ago when I was a kid. Then one day it was no longer available. Last year I discovered that it was now being sold in Cost Plus World Market Stores. And my life was made!

If you’ve never tried this sparkling water you’re probably wondering what all the hype is about? I’m not a water drinker and I find it difficult to consume enough to keep me hydrated. I’ve tried all kinds of water additives and sparkling water beverages and have found that the artificial sweeteners are overly sweet or leave an after taste, and the sparkling variations are overly carbonated. Yes, I’m particular, I know. However for me, Clearly Canadian just gets its! They nailed the “sparkling” aspect. This water is not overly fizzy or highly carbonated, and it contains four simple ingredients.

They use cane sugar and natural flavors so there is no awful after taste. You can choose from four fruit flavors, Mountain Blackberry, Wild Cherry, Country Raspberry and Orchard Peach, or you can opt for the Clearly Sparkling variety which has no flavoring. My personal favorite is Mountain Blackberry, but I’m not a fan of the Wild Cherry.  Unfortunately, I don’t live near a Cost Plus World Market store, so whenever I’m near one, I stock up. A few weeks ago on trip a Houston, I stopped by a World Market a brought home a few bottles in my suitcase! If you’re like me and don’t have a World Market in your neighborhood, but would like try Clearly Canadian, you can now order by the case directly from their website. Shipping is free, but be warned, the price tag is considerably more than what you’d pay in store.

2. Birdies Slippers

Our regular readers will definitely recognize my next favorite, Birdies Slippers. This brand has quickly grown into an obsession for me. I promise not go on too much about them. But they have recently released two new collections, the Resort Collection, and more recently the New Neutrals.

I’m a neutral lover, so of course I had to pick up a pair. I snagged myself a second pair of my beloved Starling smoking slippers in the color Latte. These New Neutrals all have suede uppers, but inside they have the same Birdies cushion and technology that makes them amazingly comfortable. If you haven’t already, I highly recommend that you give them a try.

3. Milani Make It Last Setting Spray

On to favorite number three. Years ago I gave up wearing under make up primers in favor of primer waters or mists. For years my go to product was Smashbox Primer Water, but with so many drug store products on the market I decided it was time to give them a shot. About a month ago on trip to Walgreen’s I noticed a display for the Milani Make It Last Setting Spray. The travel size was on sale, and since I had heard such good things about it and was going to be traveling soon, I figured why not.

I’ve been using this spray every day since, both under and over my makeup. I’m enjoying it so much that a few weeks ago, I picked up the full sized bottle. This product is super affordable, plus it helps my make up to go on smoothly and stay looking fresh throughout the day. I cannot say enough good things about this product.

4. Diamonique Words of Affirmation Bracelet

This next favorite is a jewelry piece I purchased very recently, but it has quickly become a favorite. I’m a jewelry lover and I simply adore sparkly, delicate pieces like this bracelet. When I saw it I had to have it. The tough part was choosing which one to order. I settled upon the “Happy” bracelet in 18k gold plating as a daily reminder that happiness is a choice we must make constantly and I haven’t taken it off since I got it home. You can choose from other words of affirmation such as Strength, Blessed, and Love. And if yellow gold is not your metal of choice, this bracelet is also available in 18k rose gold plating or sterling silver. This is a beautiful piece to buy for yourself, but I think it would make an amazing gift for any woman in your life, especially mom or grandma for Mother’s Day.

5. Erin Condren Hardbound LifePlanner

Thins brings us to the last of the items I’ll be sharing with you today. Anyone who knows me personally also knows that I have type A personality. I am particular, about a lot of things, and must have order and organization at all times. One of the things I use to help me accomplish this is my Erin Condren LifePlanner. I first discovered Erin Condren’s products about five years ago and I started out with her flagship product, the spiral bound 7×9 inch LifePlanner. Her brand and products have expanded greatly since then.

This year, after adding blogging to the mix I found myself wanting something even more portable than my current vertical layout Life Planner, as well as a place to jot down lists for to-dos and ideas. This prompted me to try this smaller hardbound planner in the horizontal set up. This little hero measures 5×8 inches and is much more compact. I still have and use my standard size life planner, but this little baby has been my go-to lately. If you’re in the market for a day planner, calendar or any type of organizational tools, I suggest you check out Erin Condren’s website. You’re guaranteed to find something to fit your needs there. And the best part, most of her products are customizable.

So there you have it! A few of the things I’m loving and using everyday. Have you tried any of my favorites? If not which ones would you like to try? Let me know in the comments. And while you’re at it, don’t forget to share your current favorites with me! Until next time!
