One piece, Five Looks: Cheetah Print Loafers

My wardrobe is filled with classic pieces in neutral colors. There’s a pop of color or pattern here or there for good measure. But I enjoy mixing and matching simple pieces and combining them with accessories to complete the look and bring it to life.

Recently, while scrolling through Instagram I came across an ad for Birdies Slippers. The moment I laid eyes on this cheetah print pair I knew I had to have them. There was just one little issue, this particular pair of shoes was a little pricier than what I typically like to spend on flats or loafers. I put the purchase on hold and decided not to buy them. A few days later I was still thinking about the shoes, so I did what I had to do and I bought the shoes! About a week later the shoes arrived.

There was no doubt that the shoes were beautiful, now my only concern was how was how well they would work with my current wardrobe. To answer that question I set out to see if I could quickly put together five different looks using this one pair of shoes. These looks were not carefully curated over weeks or even days. I pulled all of these pieces straight from my closet in less than ten minutes and hoped I’d end up with something good. So, without any further delay I present to you one piece, five looks the cheetah print loafers edition. Let’s jump into these lewks!

Look one

Look one combines two very basic staples, which also happen to be two of the most most worn and most versatile pieces in my closet, a little black dress and a denim jacket. I popped on my favorite pair of gold hoop earrings and my Louis Vuitton Favorite to finish off the look. Where won’t this outfit take me?

Look two

Look two is similar to look one, in that it also combines denim and black. I warned you, I’m a neutral lover. This time I went with a black tunic and lightly distressed denim. A statement bracelet and Neverfull tote complete this outfit which is great for breakfast, brunch, lunch, girls’  night, date night, you name it.

Look three

I mixed things up a bit for look three, and I’m thrilled with how it turned out! The base for this outfit is a bright gold sweater with a beautiful, yet delicate cable knit. This color paired well with the background of the shoes. A pair of  cropped jeans, a neutral bag and a brightly colored blanket scarf finished the look. I am madly in love with this pairing of  plaid and cheetah.

Look four

For look number four I began with a base of the same super soft denim and a white cami. I added texture and interest with a long, finely ribbed cardigan in olive green, one of my favorite colors.

Look five

To round things out for look number five, I chose a pair of faux leather leggings. Who doesn’t love a good pair of leggings? The faux leather elevates this pair just a bit, but pairing it with a tunic length sweater, for tush coverage, and my favorite denim jacket keeps the look clean and casual.

I pulled these looks together in a matter of a few minutes, and I know that with a little more time and a careful look over my wardrobe there are many more outfits just waiting to be worn. These shoes are so versatile and amazingly comfortable to boot, which makes them well worth the little extra that I spent on them. I know that they’ll be a part of my wardrobe for years to come. I had so much fun doing this challenge, I can’t wait to try it again. What item do you think I should style next? Comment below. In the meantime go and snag your own pair of  Birdies Slippers.
