OOTD: Cheetah Print Cardigan

A Walk on the Wild Side

Cheetah print is one of my favorite colors. I mean what is there not to like?! Ok, so it’s a pattern and not a color, but it is truly a basic neutral that every woman should have in her closet. The right piece of cheetah can take you from work to play and everything in between. Until recently I was on the hunt for the perfect cheetah print cardigan. My search recently ended when I found this cardi at Old Navy. This super soft cotton cardigan features long sleeves with rib knit cuffs and a crew neck, making it workable for year round wear. The fit is nice and slim for a tailored and put together look. If cheetah isn’t your thing, check it out anyway. It’s a great cardigan that comes in several great colors and patterns.

Closet Staple

Today I paired it with one of my must have closet staples, black ankle trousers from Express. I’m lucky enough to live in a climate where I can wear my ankle pants year round and I prefer them over a traditional trouser. There’s just something about them that reminds me of old Hollywood and is so very flattering and lady-like.

The Finished Look

I wanted this look to be work appropriate so I opted for a chunkier heel for comfort. I had been eyeing this particular pair by Sam Edelman for over a year now and recently scored them for forty percent off at Nordstrom Rack. They’re not available online at Nordstrom Rack, but they are currently in stock at Nordstrom.

The pieces that compose this look are all basics. The finished product is polished and pulled together. It can take you just about anywhere you need to go in any season.
