Top 5 Must Visit Brunch Spots NYC

New York has definitely become one of my top 5 must travel to destinations for my husband and I.  What’s not to love about New York City? The scenery, the fast paced atmosphere, the shops, the food, the entertainment, the touristic attractions, the nightlife,  and these are just some of the things that keep me busy during our trips to the “Big Apple”. One of the main “To Do’s” on any vacation at any destination is to seek out the best brunch spots.

Here are my top 5 brunch spots in Midtown and Lower Manhattan. These restaurants are definitely a must for anyone looking for delicious food, cozy yet sophisticated atmosphere, with good drinks!

So let’s get started! Cheers!

The Countdown

  1. Smith’s Bar – This was actually my first restaurant that I visited in New York.  So its only right that I list this as my number one site. This is definitely your NYC style pub. The atmosphere is a mix between  a pub that the cast of ” Friends” and “Living Single” would mingle after work. There’s a classic yet relaxing vibe. Most importantly, the food and drinks were delicious. The menu was full of classic entrees and Smith exclusives. There’s definitely something on the menu for all palates. I am a burger fanatic and I thoroughly enjoyed their burger and the mimosas.
    • 701 8th Ave, NYC 10036
  2. Trademark Taste + Grind –  This is definitely an upscale restaurant. The atmosphere is sleek and clean. Its located in the Financial District a block away from the Empire State Building. You must stop here if you would like to experience a hand-crafted brunch. The menu is full of a variety of pastries, crafted beverages, as well as your traditional entrees with a spin. I do believe I again had a burger here, but the potatoes are noteworthy.
    • 38 W 36th St, NYC 10018
  3. The Malt House-  This upbeat restaurant is split into two sections. Upon entry, the first level is more of a restaurant atmosphere. There’s plenty of seating selections, from benches to family style table settings.  The second level is similar to a pub. There’s a double sided bar with few tables for large parties. I had the pleasure of eating a waffle BLT with potatoes. I thoroughly enjoyed this with my bottomless mimosas.
    • 9 Maiden Ln, NYC 10038
  4. George’s – This place is definitely the buffet of all eating places. Whether you are looking for breakfast, lunch or dinner, you have come to the right spot. They have American, French, Mexican, Italian cuisines, and everything in between. Take my word, you can’t go wrong with their Philly cheese-steak.
    • 89 Greenwich St, NYC 10006
  5. Good Enough to Eat- This quaint restaurant was definitely a staple during the New York Marathon for those wanting to carb load. Thank God for OpenTable, with out them we would have gotten the opportunity to enjoy this delicious grub. We didn’t choose brunch style items, as it was 6 o’clock when we decided to eat here; however, the we thoroughly enjoyed our meals and so did the crowd who waited patiently. They serve an all day menu, so you should definitely visit during brunch.
