Valentines OOTD: Transitioning from Office to Night

Finding that perfect Valentines date night outfit has just gotten easier for the working woman. Every woman wants to look her absolute best on Valentines Day. But let’s face it, for the average professional woman, there’s not enough hours in the day. And by no means am I suggesting that it can’t be done. It just requires extra planning. Which is why I’m here to offer assistance in finding your Valentine Ootd.

Valentines Transitioning Piece

Instead of the classic red, this year I’m rocking neutrals and shades of pink. I’m going for a “girlie girl” look for both my Valentine day and night outfit. I mean let’s face it, who has time to style two completely different looks? To start, I’m basing my outfits around one piece, the “oh so sexy” laced bodysuit. I love how this Eye Laced bodysuit looks under blazers. It’s the perfect cami for a high-waisted pencil skirt. If you don’t have a bodysuit, any laced cami should do for your Valentines outfit.

Now that we’ve discussed the focal piece, the bodysuit, let’s talk about the bottom. This Valentine, I’m here for the pencil skirt for my day look. There are currently three staple bottoms in my work wardrobe: the skinny pants, the wide legged trouser, and the high-waist pencil skirt. (More to come #ontheblog.) You really can’t go wrong with either bottom. However; to keep with the theme, I’m choosing to pair the bodysuit with a blush pencil skirt that I bought from Express a few years back. I added a blush blazer, I believe it’s from H&M, and my black suede pumps to bring all of the neutrals together. I definitely approve this boss look. #Imaboss

Now that you’ve put in work, it’s time to freshen up that makeup and add that red lip. Instead of slipping on that red dress, I’m opting for my 711 Levi Studded Skinny Jeans. I’m so in love with these jeans, because they are the perfect stretch. I’m average height (5.3” 🙂 ) so I’m always pleased when I find ankle pants that actually fit as such. And as a bonus, these jeans have studs. They definitely make the cut for my “girlie girl” look. They can be dressed up or down easily with just a simple change of the shoe. For that V. Day night on the town, I’ve chosen to do a quick switch up from the black to a nude pump and to remove the chain from my wallet purse to carry as a clutch.

Being comfortable is always sexy!

Alright, now that you’re ready to go live it up, let’s us know how you plan to spend Valentines night. I’ve heard that there’s this rule out there about how ladies and men should alternate planning the V. Day date night. My plans are to solely look cute. Again, who has time to plan a date? Just joking, there’s s blog out there that can help. For my date night ideas please checkout “Lifestyle of the Married and Maternal”.

But seriously, comment below if you agree or not and why on the whole alternating Valentines tradition.
